Bring it on 2013!
2012 was quite a year. In March 2012 The Great Soap Company was established, we are so proud of our product and thrilled to share it with you. GSC soap is available on our new web site (with a pick up option for locals), Adourn {furniture rehab}in Chatfield and Minnesota Joe’s in Spring Valley. We are excited to bring you more awesome products in 2013. Save us to your favorites and check back often to find out where you can pick up Great Soap.
In 2012 some folks I love experienced several life changing events. Most recently, my little brother lost two of his best friends. In light of all that has happened in the past year, (I typically resolve not to resolve...due to my rebellious nature) in 2013 I resolve to be mindfully grateful for all my gifts. I will spend more time with family and make sure they always know how much they are loved. Life is fleeting and I want to leave nothing unsaid. That being said, for my first official blog post on our new web site I want to share how grateful I am for my sister and member of The GSC Founders club, Kathy Akerson. We could not bring you this awesome product without the help of Katie. She has been a cornerstone in starting The GSC and an endless source of cut wax paper and brown paper bands. I am grateful for the time we spend together creating beautiful soap boxes and cutting circles out of cellophane. We used to pull each other’s hair out and I am so grateful that now in our 40’s we are laughing our asses off waddling with the ducks in her yard instead. Cheers to Katie – for making this Company so awesome and for being such an important part of who I am. I love you and I really can’t thank you enough for the joy you add to my life.
